EFFECTOR Presentation on Joint Inter-ministerial Maritime Exercise „Adriatic 2022“ in Montenegro

The Joint Interministerial Maritime Exercise „Adriatic 2022“, organized by Montenegrin Governmental bodies competent for maritime domain, including Administration for Maritime Safety and Port Management (AMSPM), Ministry of Defence (Montenegro Navy) and Ministry of Interrior (Border Police Directorate of Montenegro), has taken place on 12th May 2022 in Port of Bar, Montenegro.

This event was a great opporunity to present the overview and extraordinary results achieved in EU H2020 Project EFFECTOR in the front of representatives from Montenegrin Ministries, EU and international delegation in Montenegro, IPA Games 2022 delegations attending the exercise and other important stakeholders in maritime sector. The great contribution of project EFFECTOR to enhancement the interoperable CISE-based framework of maritime surveillance and safety institutions was presented with focus on compatible integration of various maritime data sources, data lakes and advanced decision support tools for maritime situational awareness.

After the presentation of Project EFFECTOR and Plan of the Exercise, the operational scenarios were executed in Port of Bar manouvering area, including use cases such as SAR actions, illegal activities at sea, interception of smugglers, fire aboard ship, environmental issues prevention. The aim of this Exercise was to demonstrate and test operational procedures, coordination, preparedness and capabilities of national agencies in cases of emergencies related to maritime safety, security and enviromental protection.
